Well the first thought that comes to my mind whenever I hear anyone mentioning about Singapore, it is always “Hey! I’m from Singapore! ”. Singapore maybe a small country or island or city, it still however is quite influential. Some Singaporeans have views like, what is so great about a small country? One atomic bomb can wipe us all out clean! Yes, they maybe right but if only we strive and preserve together as one, we can even conquer a nuclear bomb! Singapore has gone a long way from being a nobody, to a somebody. From being a small kampong village to a booming city full of opportunities for everyone. Remember the good very, very, old days? During the time when the Singapore River is no better off compared to a roadside drain. Now, look at the Singapore River, so much have changed. This is all thanks to the effort put in by everyone. I am truly proud to be living in a country where I never really have to worry about food or whether a not I have a shelter over me head. I don’t even have to worry much about disasters like earthquakes or tsunamis. The government is trying all their best to provide us with a safe and comfortable country or city to live in. We should all appreciate the things we have been given; we should never take anything for granted.
